Bonny Dogs Grooming Services & Academy is a dog grooming salon and training academy based at Mortimer House, Holmer Road, Hereford, HR4 9TA. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.

Personal Data We Collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your phone number (optional)
The content of your message

Alongside your submission, your IP address and the date and time it was sent are recorded automatically, which helps detect abuse of the form.

To understand how the website is used, we also use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. When you view a page it records the page address, the site that referred you, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and approximate location (country, region and city), along with how quickly the page loaded. Your IP address is used to work out that location and an anonymous visitor identifier, and is not stored.

Umami also records how you use each page: where you click and how far you scroll, which we view as heatmaps; clicks on key links and buttons, such as our email address and the contact form; and a session replay, a reconstruction of your visit showing your mouse movements, clicks and scrolling. Anything you type into a form is masked in your browser before it is sent, so replays never show what you enter. We do not use replays to identify you.

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We collect this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

We use analytics to see which pages are read, how people find the website and where they get stuck, so we can improve it. Our legal basis is legitimate interests.

Data Retention

Enquiry data is retained indefinitely so that we can reference past communications if you contact us again. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at info@bonnydogsgs.com and we will remove it promptly.

Analytics records, including replays, are kept for as long as we run this website. They contain no names, contact details, IP addresses or anything typed into forms.

Third-Party Processors

Our contact form is processed by a form handling service run by our web developer, Dabinette, on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the London region. Each submission is stored there and emailed to us. AWS is GDPR-compliant.

Website analytics are provided by Umami, hosted by our web developer, Dabinette, on Amazon Web Services in the London region. Requests to the analytics service pass through Cloudflare, which provides its network and security, so your IP address is visible to Cloudflare as part of that request.

Our home page includes an embedded Google Map showing where to find us. The map is loaded from Google, so your IP address is visible to Google, and Google may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. No other third parties receive your data through this website.

Cookies and Tracking

This website does not set any cookies of its own. Our analytics are cookieless and store nothing on your device; if you would rather not be included, blocking analytics.dabinette.com with a content blocker stops them entirely. The embedded Google Map on the home page may set Google's own cookies, as described above.
